Award Winning Work

My competitive submission to help CATS and the City of Charlotte won the Art on a Roll Bus Wrap competition in 2021, giving my work a mobile canvas for a full year and a $1,000 scholarship.

art on a roll 2021

CATS called for college and high school student design submissions representing the theme “unity” to create a moving mural wrapped around two of Charlotte’s city buses. This was a state-wide competition. My design won the college competition, representing the unity of Charlotte’s unique culture with abstracted graphics of buses and architecture overlayed with continuous line drawings of diverse faces. The design was displayed for a year for an active city bus for a full year, promoting the usage of public transportation and Charlotte’s emerging arts community.

My initial submission that won the competition. I then worked with city officials and city graphic designers to revise the design to better fit the needs and dimensions of the bus.
